Haole Laulau - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 bunches spinach
6 pork chops (3/4-inch thick)
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
liquid smoke
6 medium sweet potatoes, peeled
4 Tbsp. butter
Preparation

Remove stems from spinach; wash and drain.
Place half of spinach in a baking pan.
Arrange pork chops on top; brush lightly with liquid smoke.
Season with salt and pepper.
Cover with remaining spinach.
Slice potatoes 3/4-inch thick; arrange on top of spinach.
Dot with butter.
Cover and bake at 350\u00b0 for 2 hours. Yields 6 servings.
