Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 c. cold applesauce
1 c. raisins
1/2 c. nuts
2 c. flour, after sifted
2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. allspice

Preparation

Cream shortening, sugar and egg.
Add soda and applesauce; mix together with sifted dry ingredients, nuts and raisins.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
If tube pan is used, bake 1 hour.
