Easy Paella - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. sausage links
    1 small onion
    1 clove garlic
    1 1/2 c. tomatoes
    2 1/2 c. chicken broth
    1 1/2 c. rice
    1 bay leaf
    salt and pepper
    6 1/2 oz. can chicken, drained
    1 c. frozen peas, thawed
Preparation
    In frying pan, cook the sausages until browned; remove sausages.
    Save 2 tablespoons fat and pour off the rest.
    Dice onion and mince garlic; add to pan.
    Cook until tender.
    Drain tomatoes, reserving juice, and chop the tomatoes.
    Add enough stock to juice to make 3 cups.
    Stir rice into onion mixture.
    Add stock mixture, tomatoes, bay leaf and 1/2 teaspoon salt.
    Bring to boil, cover, reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes.
