Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. quick oats
    1 1/4 c. boiling water
    1/2 c. margarine
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. white sugar
    2 eggs
    1 1/3 c. flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Pour boiling water over oats.
    Let stand 20 minutes.
    Cream shortening (margarine or butter) and sugars.
    Add eggs and beat well.
    Add flour, cinnamon, soda and salt and mix thoroughly.
    Add oats last.
    Bake 35 minutes in a 12 x 9-inch pan in a 350\u00b0 oven.
