Ingredients

1/4 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chocolate chips
1/2 c. crushed walnuts
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Melt butter in a saucepan.
Remove from heat.
Mix in brown sugar, egg, vanilla, flour, baking powder and salt.
Then stir in chips.
Spread into a greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch square pan.
Bake for 23 to 25 minutes.
Cut into 16 pieces. Cool.
