Gingerbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 eggs
3/4 c. dark brown sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 c. boiling water
2 1/2 c. flour
3/4 c. dark molasses
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. ginger
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves
Preparation

Beat eggs, butter, sugar and molasses until very thick and smooth.
Sift flour and other dry ingredients together.
Add flour and water alternately to the egg mixture.
Beat well after each addition.
Place batter in a well buttered and floured 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan.
Bake 40 minutes in 400\u00b0 oven.
Let gingerbread cool 15 minutes before cutting into squares.
