Carrot And Corn Nibbles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    1 1/3 c. cider vinegar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. whole allspice
    2 bay leaves
    1 lb. fresh carrots, cut in 1 1/2-inch pieces
    4 ears fresh corn, cut crosswise in 1-inch pieces
Preparation
    In medium saucepan, mix sugar and dry mustard.
    Stir in 1/3 cup water and remaining ingredients, except corn.
    Bring to a boil, then let cool 20 minutes.
    Place corn in bowl.
    Add carrots and marinade.
    Cover and refrigerate 2 hours before serving.
