Eight Layer Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head iceberg lettuce, torn into pieces
    diced celery to cover
    diced green pepper to cover
    1 Bermuda onion, sliced thin and separated into rings
    1 pkg. frozen peas, cooked
    2 c. mayonnaise plus 2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    8 or more slices cooked, crisp bacon, broken up
Preparation
    Do not mix ingredients!
    Place each layer on top of the others in the order listed.
    Cover tightly; use Saran Wrap and foil. Don't peek.
    Refrigerate overnight.
    Toss immediately before serving.
