Western Lima Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. dried lima beans
    1/2 lb. ground beef
    1 medium chopped onion
    3 Tbsp. oil
    2 cans tomato sauce (8 oz.)
    2 1/2 tsp. salt
    dash of poultry seasoning
Preparation
    Wash and soak beans overnight in 2 quarts of water.
    Simmer in the same water until tender (1 to 1 1/4 hours).
    Season beans with salt after 1/2 hour of cooking.
    Drain the beans and put in a casserole dish, reserving 1/2 cup of the boiling liquid.
    Cook meat and onion in oil, stirring until slightly browned.
    Add tomato sauce and rest of ingredients.
    Mix and pour over the beans while hot.
    Bake in 350\u00b0 oven for 1 hour or until bubbly and hot.
    Makes 5 to 6 servings.
