Banana Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/4 c. sugar
2/3 c. shortening
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs, unbeaten
1 c. mashed ripe bananas (about 5)
2 1/4 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped nuts
1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Preparation

Cream 1 1/4 cups sugar, shortening and vanilla until light and fluffy.
Add eggs and beat well.
Stir in mashed bananas.
Sift flour with baking powder, soda and salt and mix well.
Stir in nuts.
Chill.
Drop by teaspoon on greased baking sheet.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
Sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar mixture or icing.
