Vicki'S Scholarship Cherry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/4 c. cherry juice
    1/2 tsp. red food coloring
    4 c. sour cherries, drained (2 cans)
    1 Tbsp. butter
    1/4 c. cornstarch
    1/4 c. cherry juice
    1 Tbsp. fresh lime juice
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Combine sugar, 1/4 cup cherry juice and food coloring in heavy saucepan.
    Cook to a rolling boil.
    Add cherries and butter and cook 2 minutes.
    Make smooth paste of cornstarch and 1/4 cup cherry juice.
    Add to cherry mixture, stirring constantly and cook until thick.
    Stir in lime juice and cinnamon.
    Cool.
