2 1/4 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1 c. butter
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. white sugar
1 unbeaten egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. cashew nuts, finely crushed
Preparation

Sift together flour, baking soda and cream of tartar. Cream together butter and gradually add brown sugar and white sugar; cream well. Blend in egg and vanilla; beat well. Add the dry ingredients gradually and mix thoroughly. Stir in nuts. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto lightly greased baking sheets. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown. Makes 5 dozen.
