Fresh Strawberry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 qt. strawberries
    1 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. cornstarch
    3 oz. pkg. cream cheese
    1 baked 9-inch pie shell
    1 crust pastry
Preparation
    Wash, chop and drain strawberries.
    Mash two cups of berries and strain to make 1 1/2 cups juice (water may be added if berries do not make quite enough).
    Combine sugar and cornstarch and stir into juice.
    Bring this to a full boil over medium heat, stirring all of the time.
    Boil about 2 minutes.
    Cool.
    Soften cream cheese by adding cream or milk and spread over bottom of pastry shell.
    Put remaining two cups of berries over cheese.
    Pour cooled juice mixture of berries and chill for about 2 hours.
    Top with whipped cream.
