Coconut Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. hot water
    1 tsp. coconut extract
Preparation
    Mix together sugar and hot water.
    Stir over low heat until sugar is dissolved.
    Bring to a boil and let boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat and add coconut extract.
    Mix well.
    Punch holes in the hot cake and pour mixture over cake.
    Let the cake cool for 1 hour before removing from pan.
    May sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired, after removing from pam.
