Confederate Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. milk
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. chopped nuts (pecans, walnuts or almonds; your choice)

Preparation

Cream sugar and butter; add milk and unbeaten egg.
Mix well. Sift the flour and baking powder; blend with the sugar and butter, adding nutmeg, cinnamon, nuts and granulated sugar.
Dot well with butter and bake in a moderate, about 320\u00b0, for 20 minutes.
