Grandma Reed'S Holiday Pumpkin Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1 tsp. ground cloves
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    2/3 c. shortening
    2 2/3 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1 1/2 c. pumpkin (fresh or canned)
    2/3 c. water
    1 c. raisins (optional)
    1 c. walnuts (optional)
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Sift together first 6 ingredients; set aside.
    Cream together shortening and sugar, then add eggs and water.
    Gradually add flour mixture.
    Stir in pumpkin, nuts and raisins.
    Grease and flour 3 large or 6 small loaf pans.
    Bake for 65 to 70 minutes, until done.
