Bread And Butter Pudding(Theresa Shea) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. raisins
    5 thin slices stale bread
    1/4 c. butter, melted
    2 eggs
    2/3 c. sugar
    2 c. milk
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Line bottom of greased pudding dish with raisins.
    Cut bread slices in 3 strips, crosswise.
    Dip each in melted butter and arrange on top of raisins.
    Beat remaining ingredients together and pour over bread.
    Set dish in pan of hot water.
    Bake in hot oven at 375\u00b0 until bread is browned and a knife blade comes out clean (about 1 hour).
    Serve plain or with cream.
    Serves 6.
