Cherry Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    1 c. flour
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 (No. 2) can sour cherries, drained (keep the juice)
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    1 well beaten egg
    2 Tbsp. melted shortening
Preparation
    Sift together the sugar, flour, cinnamon and baking powder. Add the cherries and nuts. Add the egg.
    Add the shortening.
    Mix well and pour into square pan.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
