Pumpkin Cookies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/4 c. brown sugar, packed
1 1/4 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. cooked pumpkin
2 eggs
2 1/2 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. each: ginger, nutmeg and cinnamon
dash of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. chopped dates
Preparation

Cream brown sugar, shortening, eggs and pumpkin.
Sift flour, baking powder, ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon and salt.
Add flour mixture to batter and mix well.
Fold in vanilla and lemon, then nuts and chopped dates.
Drop on greased cookie sheet and bake at 375\u00b0 for 15 minutes.
