Rice Sausage Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box Uncle Ben's wild rice
    1 lb. hot sausage
    1 medium onion, finely chopped
    1 clove garlic, crushed
    2 cans cream of mushroom soup
    1 small jar pimentos, chopped
    1 can water chestnuts, drained and sliced thin
    1/2 c. slivered almonds
    1/2 stick butter
    1/4 lb. Ritz crackers
    1 stick butter, melted
Preparation
    Cook rice according to directions on box.
    Brown almonds in 1/2 stick butter.
    Brown together sausage, onion and garlic.
    Mix rice and sausage, while hot, with other ingredients, except crackers and 1 stick of butter.
    Place in a 2-quart casserole dish.
    Crush Ritz crackers.
    Toss with 1 stick melted butter. Sprinkle over top.
    Bake for 25 to 30 minutes at 350\u00b0 until bubbly and crackers are browned.
