Refrigerator Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. sliced cucumbers
    6 medium onions, sliced
    1/4 c. salt
    1 1/2 c. vinegar (cider or white)
    1 tsp. turmeric
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    4 c. sugar
Preparation
    Mix onions and cucumbers and put in jar.
    Mix remaining ingredients and heat until dissolved.
    When cool, pour over pickles.
    Keep in refrigerator.
