Aunt Liz'S Pickles(Very Crunchy) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 lb. cucumbers
    2 c. lime
    2 gal. water
    3 oz. alum
    cool water (just enough to cover)
Preparation
    Peel and cut out seeds from the cucumbers.
    Rinse and soak in lime and 2 gallons of water for 24 hours.
    Rinse and soak in alum and enough cool water to cover for 6 hours.
    Rinse and soak in cool water for 6 more hours.
