Frankfurter Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 slices bacon or 1 Tbsp. margarine
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
    1/2 c. milk
    1/4 tsp. salt
    dash of pepper
    3 c. boiled, sliced potatoes
    1/2 lb. frankfurters, sliced into rounds
    1 c. cooked or canned green beans or peas or frozen peas, separated
Preparation
    Cook bacon, if used, and remove from pan.
    Saute onion in bacon drippings or else in a tablespoon of margarine.
    Stir in cream of mushroom soup and milk with salt and pepper.
    Add boiled potatoes, sliced frankfurters and beans or peas.
    Pour into greased 1 1/2-quart casserole.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes and top before serving with crumbled bacon if desired.
    Yields 4 to 6 servings.
