Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
pinch of salt
1 3/4 c. sifted flour
3/4 c. sifted powdered sugar
1/4 c. cornstarch
pinch of cream of tartar
Preparation

Cream the butter and vanilla. Sift together dry ingredients and add to butter.
Put in greased 8 x 8-inch pan. Score dough with fork to make a
crisscross design.
Bake until lightly browned.
