Lemon Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. melted butter
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 1/2 c. sifted plain flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. milk
    grated rind of 1 lemon
    2 Tbsp. lemon extract
    1/2 c. chopped nuts
    juice of 1 lemon
    1/2 c. powdered sugar
Preparation
    Grease 2 loaf pans and line with wax paper.
    Mix 1 cup sugar, butter and lemon extract.
    Beat in eggs.
    Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with milk.
    Beat just enough to blend.
    Fold in nuts and lemon rind.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    Combine juice and 1/2 cup sugar.
    Mix well.
    Remove baked bread from pan while hot; drizzle with lemon juice mixture over top and into cracks.
    Do not cut for 24 hours.
    Freezes well.
