Hearty Breakfast Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. flour (plain)
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
2 egg whites
1 1/4 c. skim milk
1/4 c. oil
1/4 c. molasses
3 c. bran flake cereal
1/3 c. raisins
1/3 c. apples, peeled and chopped
Preparation

Heat
oven
to\t400\u00b0.
Mix
flour,
brown
sugar, soda, cinnamon, salt and nutmeg in a large bowl.\tBeat egg whites in a small
bowl.
Stir\tin milk, oil and molasses.
Add to flour mixture
and
stir\tuntil just moist.
Stir in cereal, raisins and apples.
Spoon into greased muffin pans, filling 2/3 full. Bake 20 minutes.
Makes 1 dozen muffins.
