Sweet And Sour Green Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. green beans
    3 slices bacon
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    2 Tbsp. bacon drippings
    1 small onion, sliced
    2 tsp. cornstarch
    1/4 c. water
Preparation
    Snip ends of beans and cut into 1-inch slices.
    Cook in 1 cup boiling water in covered saucepan.
    Save 1/4 cup of liquid from cooking.
    Fry bacon until crisp; save 2 tablespoons bacon drippings.
    Drain and crumble bacon.
