Marilyn Mcconnell'S Beef Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 lb. lean ground beef, browned, drained and crumbled
    1 tsp. garlic salt
    1 medium onion, chopped
    2 small cans tomato sauce
    salt and pepper to taste
    1/2 tsp. basil
    8 oz. pkg. noodles, cooked and drained
    6 oz. softened cream cheese
    16 oz. sour cream
    1 small can mushrooms, drained
    4 to 6 oz. grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Mix the browned hamburger, spices, onion and tomato sauce in a large pot and simmer 15 minutes.
    Mix the cooked noodles, cream cheese and sour cream; stir into the meat sauce.
    Turn into a deep, greased casserole.
    Top with mushrooms and grated cheese. Bake 45 minutes at 300\u00b0.
