Banana Devil'S Food Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. Crisco
    3/4 c. buttermilk or sour milk
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1/3 c. mashed banana
    2 sq. unsweetened chocolate
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Sift flour once; measure and sift again with salt, soda and baking powder.
    Cream shortening, 2 tablespoons buttermilk and sugar until light and fluffy.
    Add eggs one at a time, beating after each.
    Add banana pulp, then melted chocolate.
    Combine remaining milk and vanilla; add dry ingredients alternately with milk to creamed mixture.
    Beat well.
    Pour into oiled 10 x 14-inch pan.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 45 minutes.
