Butter-Caramel Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. Crisco
    2 c. sugar
    5 or 6 eggs
    4 c. flour (self-rising)
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. milk
    1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
Preparation
    Cream together shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs one at a time, beating after each.
    Add milk and sifted dry ingredients alternately to creamed mixture. Add vanilla.
    Mix well
    Pour into four 8-inch
    layer pans or three 9-inch layer pans.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes or until done.
