Squash Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. raw squash
    1/2 c. onion, chopped
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. margarine
    1 (8 oz.) pkg. herb stuffing
    1 can chicken soup
    1/2 c. sour cream
    1 c. grated carrots
Preparation
    Cook squash and onion in salt water until tender.
    Mix margarine with stuffing.
    Put half on bottom of buttered 9 x 13-inch pan.
    Drain squash.
    Add soup, sour cream and carrots. Put on top of stuffing in dish.
    Put remaining stuffing mix on top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes.
    Put cheese on top, if you like.
