Spanish Peanut Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening (part butter)
    1 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
    2 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. soda
    2 c. salted Spanish peanuts
Preparation
    Heat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Mix thoroughly the shortening, sugar, eggs and vanilla.
    Sift together dry ingredients and stir in.
    Add peanuts.
    Drop rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto greased cookie sheet.
    Flatten with glass dipped in water, then sugar.
    Bake about 10 minutes.
    Makes about 6 dozen cookies.
