Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 1/2 c. sugar
    1 large can evaporated milk
    2 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
    1/2 lb. butter
    18 oz. chocolate chips (semi-sweet)
    3 Tbsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Boil sugar and evaporated milk together for 6 minutes.
    Pour over the following ingredients which have been mixed together in a bowl:
    nuts, butter, chocolate chips and vanilla.
    Stir until chocolate chips are melted.
    Pour into a buttered 9 x 13-inch pan to cool.
    Cut into 1-inch squares.
    Makes about 5 pounds.
