Sweet Potato Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 stick margarine or butter
3 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1 c. flaked coconut
1 large can evaporated milk (Carnation or Pet)
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
3 1/2 c. sifted flour
3 eggs
1 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract (not imitation)

Preparation

Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
Sift dry ingredients together two times.
Add to the creamed mixture alternating with the milk.
Add vanilla.
Blend well.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Mix all ingredients together.
