Apple Walnut Syrup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 Tbsp. butter
    1/4 c. chopped walnuts
    2 c. apples, sliced and peeled
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    dash of salt
    1 c. Karo syrup
Preparation
    Melt butter; add nuts to brown slightly.
    Remove nuts and add remaining ingredients.
    Cover and simmer about 10 minutes.
    Remove cover and simmer 3 more minutes.
    Remove from heat and add nuts. Serve on waffles, pancakes, ice cream, custard, etc.
