Tangerine Macaroons - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 egg whites
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2/3 c. sugar
1 c. flaked coconut
1/2 c. finely chopped pecans
2 tsp. grated tangerine peel or orange peel
Preparation

In a small mixer bowl, beat egg whites and vanilla until soft peaks form.
Gradually add sugar, beating until stiff peaks form. Fold in coconut, pecans and peel.
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 1 1/2 inches apart onto a greased cookie sheet.
Bake in a 325\u00b0 oven for 10 to 12 minutes or until done.
Remove and cool.
Makes about 36.
