Vegetable Beef Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 to 2 lb. roast beef, cut into bite-sized pieces
2 medium onions, diced
1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
2 carrots, peeled and sliced
3 stalks celery with tops, sliced
2 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
1/2 c. barley (optional)
3 c. water
1 tsp. salt
4 peppercorns
3 beef bouillon cubes
1 (10 oz.) pkg. mixed vegetables or peas or lima beans
Preparation

Brown beef, then add onion.
Cook until onion is soft.
Add all remaining ingredients.
Bring to a boil; turn to simmer and cover.
Cook for 2 to 3 hours.
