Scripture Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. butter (Judges 5:25, last clause)
2 c. sugar (Jeremiah 6:20)
2 tsp. honey (1 Samuel 14:25, last clause)
6 eggs (Jeremiah 17:11)
1/2 c. milk (Judges 4:19, last clause)
4 1/2 c. flour (1 Kings 4:22)
spices to taste (2 Chronicles 9:9, second phrase)
2 tsp. baking powder (Amos 4:5)
1 c. raisins (1 Samuel 30:12, second phrase)
1 c. figs (Nahum 3:12)
Preparation

Cream together butter, sugar and honey.
Beat eggs until frothy.
Add milk to eggs and to creamed mixture; beat thoroughly. Sift together flour and baking powder and add to creamed mixture. Chop raisins and figs and add, then add spices as desired.
Bake at 375\u00b0 in tube pan for about 30 minutes.
