Cherry Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. margarine
    1 3/4 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    1/2 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    3 c. flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 can cherry pie mix
    1/2 tsp. almond extract
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add eggs, one at a time.
    Add vanilla, milk and dried ingredients.
    Place half of batter in a jelly roll pan.
    Cover with cherry pie mix (add a little almond flavoring, if desired, to filling).
    Spoon the rest of the batter over the top.
