Ingredients

1 stick butter
1 egg, beaten
1 c. chopped dates
2 c. Rice Krispies
1 c. sugar
1 c. nuts (pecans or walnuts)
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Melt butter in an iron skillet.
Add rest of ingredients except cereal.
Cook 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and add Rice Krispies. Stir well.
Cool until you can handle, then form into balls and roll in powdered sugar.
