Ingredients

2 medium onions
2 Tbsp. margarine
2 cans mushroom soup
1 lb. box spiral macaroni
1 small can mushrooms
1 qt. sauerkraut, rinsed slightly
1/2 lb. bacon
Preparation

Dice and fry bacon.
Drain and set aside.
Dice onions and brown lightly in margarine (bacon grease may be used instead of margarine which gives a delicious flavor and keeps noodles moist). Add sauerkraut to onions.
Cover and simmer 1 hour.
Cook noodles.
Combine noodles, sauerkraut, onions, soup, bacon and mushrooms.
Mix thoroughly.
Freezes well.
Serves 6 to 8.
