Red Beans And Rice(Bayou Country Style) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. red beans (kidney) or 1 lb. bag
    2 large onions, chopped
    2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
    2 tsp. seasoned salt
    bay leaf
    pinch of sugar
    1 lb. smoked sausage, cut into 1/4-inch slices
    1 1/2 Tbsp. crushed red pepper (adjust to taste)
    1 Tbsp. Tony Chachere Creole seasoning (cajun)
Preparation
    Wash beans.
    Soak overnight and drain.
    Combine all ingredients in slow cooker; add 3 cups water.
    Cook all day on high; add water if needed.
    Remove cover 2 hours before serving to thicken.
    Serve over cooked rice.
