Red Cabbage With Apples - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 tart red apples, sliced
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 medium head red cabbage, coarsely shredded (about 8 c.)
    1/4 c. water
    1/4 c. red wine vinegar
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Cook and stir apples in butter in Dutch oven over medium heat 5 minutes.
    Stir in remaining ingredients.
    Heat to boiling; reduce heat.
    Cover and simmer until cabbage is tender, 35 to 40 minutes.
    Serves 6.
