Country Style Steak - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. round steak, cut to size you want (1-inch thick)
    flour
    salt and pepper
    2 to 4 Tbsp. Crisco or lard
    1 c. sliced onions
Preparation
    Salt and pepper each piece of steak.
    Dredge in flour; beat with mallet or saucer edge.
    Saute onions in the fat, them remove onions and reserve.
    Brown steaks in fat well on each side over medium heat, being careful not to overcook it.
    Serve in covered dish with onions and gravy.
