Cabbage And Noodles(Makes 4 Servings) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 head cabbage (about 1 lb.), cored and coarsely chopped (4 c.)
8 oz. wide egg noodles
1/4 c. butter or margarine
1 tsp. poppy seed
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation

Bring 3 quarts water to boil in large pot.
Add cabbage and noodles and return to boil.
Boil 6 to 8 minutes until both are tender.
Remove from heat and reserve 3/4 cup cooking liquid. Pour cabbage-noodle mixture in colander to drain.
Return reserved cooking liquid to pot.
Add butter, poppy seed, salt and pepper. Cook over low heat until butter melts.
Add cabbage and noodles and toss to mix and coat.
Serve immediately.
