Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    3/4 c. granulated sugar
    3/4 c. packed brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    2 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate morsels (Nestle's)
    1 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    In a large bowl, cream shortening, sugars, eggs and vanilla until light and fluffy.
    In another bowl, thoroughly stir together flour, baking soda and salt.
    Add flour mixture to cream mixture and beat well.
    Stir in morsels, walnuts and one teaspoon hot water.
    Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until done 10 to 12 minutes.
    Remove from pan and cool on rack.
    Makes 6 dozen 2 1/4-inch cookies.
