Taco Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground beef
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce with juice
    1 (17 oz.) can kidney beans with juice
    1 (17 oz.) can corn with juice
    1 pkg. taco seasoning
    1 to 2 c. water
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 small can chopped green chilies (optional)
    1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Brown beef in large heavy kettle; drain and add onion.
    Cook until onion is tender.
    Add remaining ingredients, except cheese; simmer for 15 minutes.
    Ladle into bowls, top with grated cheese. Yield: 6 to 8 servings.
