Sweet Potato Turnovers - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 large sweet potatoes, scrubbed
3 Tbsp. butter
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/8 tsp. ginger
1 large pkg. refrigerated crescent rolls
3 c. vegetable oil
powdered sugar
Preparation

Boil sweet potatoes until soft.
Peel and mash.
Add butter, sugar and spices.
Mix well.
Unroll the crescent roll dough into squares.
On each square, put some sweet potato filling.
Fold edges together.
Bring oil to a boil and then turn off heat. Carefully drop the turnovers into oil, one by one, and deep fry to a golden brown or until crisp.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
