Broccoli-Buttermilk Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium stalk broccoli (9 to 12 oz.), chopped
    1 red onion, chopped
    2 cloves garlic, chopped
    1 shallot, chopped
    2 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Combine the broccoli, onion, garlic and shallot in steamer basket and steam over boiling water until broccoli is tender, about 12 minutes.
    Transfer vegetables to a food processor or blender and blend until pureed.
    Then with the motor running, slowly pour in the buttermilk.
    Don't overprocess the soup or it will be too frothy.
