Knox Perfection Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 envelopes Knox unflavored gelatine
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    3 3/4 c. water, divided
    3/4 c. cider vinegar
    3 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 1/2 c. shredded cabbage
    3 c. chopped celery
    3 pimentos, cut in tiny pieces
    6 Tbsp. chopped red or green pepper
Preparation
    Mix gelatine, sugar and salt in pan; add 1 1/2 cups of water. Stir over low heat, stirring until gelatine is dissolved.
    Remove from heat and stir in remaining water, vinegar and lemon.
    Chill until unbeaten egg white consistency.
    Fold in vegetables and turn into mold or Pyrex dish (2 x 7 x 9-inch).
